Invest in Your Future in Corrosion Control

The Corrosion Technician Association Workforce Development Scholarship helps individuals build practical, career-ready skills for work in corrosion control, cathodic protection, coatings, inspection, and integrity management.

Unlike scholarships focused primarily on traditional four-year engineering degrees, this program supports technician-level education, workforce training, industry certifications, technical certificates, associate-level programs, and other career-focused learning opportunities.

CTA members can help open the door to the next generation of corrosion professionals by sponsoring a qualified applicant.

Scholarship Benefits

CTA will award multiple scholarships during each application cycle, depending on available funding.

Each selected recipient will receive a scholarship of at least $1,000 to help cover eligible education and training expenses. Funds may be used for:

  • Tuition

  • Certification and examination fees

  • Required courses

  • Certification preparation programs

  • Books and training materials

  • Laboratory fees

Whenever possible, scholarship payments will be sent directly to the training provider, school, or certification organization.

Build Skills That Support a Lasting Career

The scholarship is designed to help recipients:

  • Earn industry-recognized credentials

  • Strengthen technical and field-based skills

  • Prepare for entry-level corrosion careers

  • Advance within the corrosion and integrity industry

  • Reduce the financial burden of training and certification

  • Connect with professionals through the CTA community

  • Professional references

  • Overall application quality and completeness
